What is ethnobotany?
In ethnobotany, the use of plants by indigenous cultures is studied. The focus is on the traditional use of plants.
Ethnobotanical research relies on empirical evidence while using advanced methods to identify plants that have beneficial traits.
Indigenous people are traditionally known for their herbal remedies for health and beauty issues.
To access the knowledge that has survived over the years, Nu Skin works with highly respected ethnobotanists. dr Paul Cox, one of the world's leading ethnobotanists, lived in Polynesia for five years and gained the confidence of the locals and spoke the language. He researched the effectiveness of plants and came up with the idea of giving something back to indigenous peoples if we use their knowledge.
dr Honored by Time Magazine as one of 11 "Medical Heroes" in 1997, Paul Cox is an expert in the field of ethnobotany. As Nu Skin's Scientific Advisor, he works with Nu Skin to share the wonders of ancient plant cultures with the world.

Epoch has switched to Eco-Pac tubes, which help save 67 tons of plastic in production every year - that's the weight of 10 elephants! Choosing eco-friendly bio-resin packaging reduces carbon emissions by 79-95% per tube produced. The collection also includes packaging made from recycled resin and FSC-certified material.
